Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said some barangay captains were reprimanded following reports of alleged violations of quarantine protocols in their areas.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Teodoro was asked about the alleged mass gathering, such as drinking spree and videoke in certain barangays.

"Bawal 'yan.

Teodoro said similar incidents were also reported two weeks ago and he said local officials already acted on the matter.

The mayor also reminded policemen to do their duties in enforcing quarantine protocols or else they could be suspended or transferred to other areas.

So far, Marikina City has a total of 713 COVID-19 cases. Of that number, 323 are active cases, 353 have recovered and 37 died.
