Five evacuees in Marikina City tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing swab test, according to an Unang Balita report.

These patients are already on quarantine while authorities are still waiting for the results of tests conducted on over 100 more evacuees.

In Quezon City, three evacuees tested positive for COVID-19 while more than 600 underwent rapid test.

The affected evacuees in Quezon City have been placed in community care facilities as the local government unit monitors the situation in evacuation centers.

The evacuees were residents displaced by the recent typhoons.
