Manila Water announces service interruption in Marikina and Rizal

Manila Water Company (Manila Water) on Tuesday announced a water interruption in parts of Marikina City, and Antipolo City and Rodriguez town in Rizal province due to its service improvement activities from Jan. 18 to 20, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

The affected areas will be:

- Parts of Barangay San Roque in Antipolo City, Rizal from 10 p.m. of Jan. 18 to 6 a.m. of Jan. 19, specifically in Sitio Ahon along Marigman Road for line maintenance

- Parts of Barangay Barangka in Marikina City from 9 p.m. of Jan. 19 to 6 a.m. of Jan. 20, particularly in Barangka corner Marcos Highway for line maintenance

- Parts of Barangay Burgos in Rodriguez, Rizal from 10 p.m. of Jan. 19 to 5 a.m. of Jan. 20, particularly in Daang Bakal corner Marang Road for line maintenance

- Parts of Barangay San Jose (E. Manuel St., Ayuson 1, Ayuson 2, Ayuson 3, G. Cruz, De Guzman, Liamzon, F. San Juan, P. Cabal, R. Reyes, portion of E. Rodriguez and G. Bautista. E. Rodriguez, J. Sumulong, G. Bautista, Guevara, Liamzon, G. Alberto, San Juan, R. Reyes and Libis) for valve maintenance.

The water company advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water for their needs during the service improvement activities.

The company reminded affected customers to let water in their faucets run for a few minutes or flush their toilets until the water becomes clear.
