On Labor Day, Congresswoman Maan Teodoro organized job fairs at two locations in Marikina City to bring opportunities for job seekers in the area. At the Marikina City Hall, more than a thousand individuals attended the event, where 15 companies offered job openings and conducted initial interviews, with some lucky applicants hired on-the-spot.

The job fair at SM City Marikina, organized by Teodoro in partnership with the local government, also attracted about 2,000 job seekers and more than 30 companies, with 102 applicants hired on-the-spot.

Teodoro expressed her gratitude to the participating companies, the local government, and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for supporting the project. She emphasized the importance of creating long-term solutions to poverty through employment opportunities, and hopes to make the job fair an annual event with more companies joining to provide more job openings for the community.

For job seekers, the job fair brought convenience and accessibility as they no longer need to travel far and wide to find employment. For employers, it was an opportunity to select the right candidates that fit their company needs.

The job fair also offered free transportation for attendees from Marikina City Hall to SM City Marikina and vice versa, giving job seekers more options to explore. With the success of the job fairs, Maan Teodoro's "Trabaho, Alay" initiative has brought hope and opportunities for the community.
