With only 83 days left before the much-awaited Palarong Pambansa 2023, officials from the Department of Education (DepEd) Marikina, along with Marikina City Government officials, gathered to form the Billeting Committee at the Pavilion of Marikina Convention Center.

The meeting was called by Marikina City Mayor Marcy R. Teodoro, who gave the committee important instructions to ensure that the athletes and delegates will have a meaningful and enjoyable stay in Marikina City during the three-week long sports event.

"Marikina will be their home for the entire duration of the competition. I believe that beyond any preparation, this experience will teach us what is truly important – that in Marikina, there is unity despite the fact that residents here come from different regions of the Philippines. Our preparations will be a great opportunity for us to get to know each other," said Mayor Teodoro.
