Marikina, TWG members hold meeting for Palarong Pambansa
Marikina City - The members of the Palarong Pambansa 2023 Technical Working Group gathered in Marikina City for the three-day Technical Conference as part of the preparations for the annual national sports competition.
On the first day of the meeting, various topics were discussed by the attendees, including the readiness of Marikina City as the host city, the programs for the opening and closing ceremonies, billeting and playing venues, unity dance, exhibition events, indigenous games, and side events.
The Technical Working Group, composed of key officials from the Department of Education, the local government, and representatives from the Philippine Sports Commission, delved into the intricate details of organizing a successful and memorable Palarong Pambansa.
The preparations for Marikina City as the host city took center stage during the discussions. The local government representatives shared updates on the infrastructure, facilities, and accommodations that will accommodate the athletes, coaches, and officials during the duration of the games.
The program for the opening and closing ceremonies was another crucial aspect tackled during the conference. The participants brainstormed ideas to ensure that the ceremonies would showcase the rich culture, talent, and spirit of the host city, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
