Marikina opens Palarong Pambansa banchetto and trade fair

Marikina City, July 27, 2023 - In a festive celebration, Mayor Marcy Teodoro, together with Congresswoman Maan Teodoro, officially inaugurated the much-awaited Palarong Pambansa Banchetto and Trade Fair with consecutive ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremonies today.

Joining the event were Vice Mayor Marion Andres and councilors, Banchetto Committee Co-Chairperson Ma. Rosanna Santos, and fellow committee members, along with representatives from food and restaurant associations and other local businesses in Marikina.

After the ceremonies, Mayor Marcy and Congresswoman Maan, accompanied by former Mayor Del De Guzman and former councilors who also served the city, toured the over 200 food and non-food stalls.

The Palarong Pambansa Banchetto is conveniently located at Jacamar Street, City Hall Road, and Marikina Freedom Park, just near the Marikina Sports Center. The event runs daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM until August 7, 2023.

Moreover, the event features street performances, buskers, solo singers, and live band performances to further elevate the festive atmosphere.

The Palarong Pambansa Banchetto and Trade Fair aims to promote local entrepreneurship, showcase Marikina's vibrant food scene, and provide a venue for entertainment and community gathering for both residents and visitors alike.
