Marikina initiates comprehensive cemetery cleanup
In preparation for the forthcoming observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Days, the Marikina City Government has embarked on extensive clearing and clean-up operations in the city's cemeteries. Mayor Marcy Teodoro has provided stringent directives to ensure meticulous cleaning, removal of obstacles, and the overall enhancement of various burial grounds, including the Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish Cemetery, Barangka Public Cemetery, Holy Child Memorial Park, Iglesia Filipina Independiente (Aglipay) Cemetery, and Loyola Memorial Park.
The local administration's primary aim is to make these cemeteries convenient, safe, and tranquil for the meaningful remembrance of departed loved ones during the upcoming Undas.
