He emphasized that they are remembered today as part of the city's extended family.

"We celebrate and commemorate their heroism and the celebration of their lives - those who were once sons, fathers, mothers, siblings. We celebrate them today as our own family. "To serve and protect. This was the mandate they upheld until the end. We are profoundly grateful that they devoted their lives for the peace of Marikina City. Their duty was weighty and came with many sacrifices. But behind every brave and valiant police officer is a resilient family that unwaveringly supported them with love," the esteemed congresswoman remarked.

The special occasion was attended by distinguished guests, including Eastern Police District Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta, PNP Marikina Chief of Police Col. Earl Castillo, Civic Action Team of Marikina Chairman Jahn Alejaga, Vice Mayor Marion Andres, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, heads of city government offices, representatives from socio-civic groups, non-government organizations, and many others who came together to honor the memory of Marikina's fallen heroes.
