Marikina City officially launched the 'Blue Christmas Village,' marking the onset of the holiday season with a vibrant celebration. Nestled within the picturesque Freedom Park area, Mayor Marcy Teodoro, accompanied by Cong. Maan Teodoro, graced the inaugural ceremony, radiating enthusiasm and holiday cheer.

A gathering of significant figures, including representatives from the 10th City Council led by Vice Mayor Marion Andres, as well as key organizers overseeing the Shoe Bazaar and Banchetto, led by Antonio Andres and Roan Santos, amplified the event's festive spirit. The presence of department heads from various city offices, law enforcement authorities, and representatives from the local footwear and food industries added to the sense of community and celebration.

The 'Blue Christmas Village' promises an extensive showcase of Marikina's distinct culture and craftsmanship. Running until January 15, 2024, the village invites residents and visitors alike to revel in its offerings. Operating from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Mondays through Thursdays, and extending the merriment with hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Fridays through Sundays, the village is set to become a hub of activity and a center for holiday shopping.
